Abstract

In the article, the authors cover the concept of "inclusive education", describe the psychological characteristics of children with intellectual disabilities, and provide recommendations for teaching computer science to children with intellectual disabilities. The purpose of the article is to highlight the peculiarities of teaching computer science to children with intellectual disabilities in inclusion. Methods: theoretical - analysis and generalization of results of scientific researches in the field of informatics in the conditions of inclusive educational space, terminological analysis for characterization of key concepts of the research topic, modeling to determine recommendations for teaching children with intellectual disabilities. Conclusions. Knowledge of the individual characteristics of the emotional organization of children with intellectual disabilities can help prevent negative trends in child behavior from the very first days of studying computer science. The computer science course introduces students to the computer and aims to develop cognitive interest in how to use it. We see the prospect of further research in determining the methodological approaches and forms of work with pupils with intellectual disabilities in computer science lessons.
