SYSTEM OF FORMATION OF VISUAL AND INFORMATIONAL CULTURE OF FUTURE MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHERS IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The professional preparation of mathematics and computer science teachers is not sufficiently focused on the use of visual ways of presenting learning material in view of the increase of the visual component of the educational sphere. Therefore, the problem of developing and implementing a system for formation of visual and informational culture of future mathematics and computer science teachers is in focus. The process of formation of visual and informational culture of future mathematics and computer science teachers should be considered as a pedagogical system, and a systematic approach should be seen as a leading one in the process of formation of such a culture. In the article the system of formation of visual and informative culture of future mathematics and computer science teacher, which consists of methodological-targeted, substantive-procedural, diagnostically-effective subsystems, is proposed. Methodological-target subsystem includes purpose, objectives, methodological bases (approaches (systemic, activity oriented, personally oriented, competent, acmeological, synergistic, integrated, cognitive and visual, praxeological, BYOD), principles (continuity, accessibility, use of cross-curricular links, adaptability, information technology orientation, student-centricity), covers the legal framework, on which the culture is formed, a prerequisite for a combination of other components in the integral unity, their semantic content and development. The system approach allowed to determine the structure of visual and informational culture of future mathematics and computer science teachers by means of isolation of components – professional and motivational, cognitive, operational and activity, reflexive. The substantive-procedural subsystem defines the didactic model of educational disciplines (curricula, learning materials), includes the stages of forming a visual and informational culture (propedeutic-motivational, cognitive-procedural, reflexive-corrective), the tasks of which are implemented by means of forms, methods, technologies, and learning tools. The diagnostic and performance subsystem reflect the criteria and indicators of the formation of visual and informational culture of future mathematics and computer science teachers, the methodology for assessing the levels of formation of such a culture, including standardized and authorial diagnostic tools. The proposed system is characterized by an appropriate result – the formed visual and informational culture of future mathematics and computer science teachers.
